Auckland Maori Tours – Full Day

Auckland Maori Culture Tours (full day) so you can experience the taha Maori or Maori side of Tamaki Makaurau (Auckland). You’ll discover a landscape rich with Maori myths and legends and steeped in the history, both ancient and modern, of the tangata whenua (the people of the land).

Visit the region’s important Maori landmarks and monuments. Practise some Maori kawa (protocols) and tikanga (culture). Learn about some of the rangatira Maori (Maori leaders) who have shaped our nation’s history.

On our full day Auckland Maori Culture Tours your Kaiarahi Maori (Maori guide) is often our Company Director Ceillhe Tewhare Teneti Hema Sperath. Ceillhe is tangata whenua (one of the people of the land). She is a direct descendant of the Maori chiefs Patuone and his brother Tamati Waka Nene, both of whom shaped the Maori and colonial history of New Zealand. Ceillhe is well versed and experienced in Maori culture, traditions and history. She knows and loves her native region with the passion of a true insider and is equally passionate about sharing her culture and her turangawaewae (homeland) with you! But all our Maori guides are equally passionate and knowledgeable about their Maori culture!

Experience this magnificent city with its 48 volcanoes, as well as the amazing West Coast with us as we host throughout this Auckland Maori Tour.

Be amazed by spectacular views of both the Pacific Ocean and the Tasman Sea, dramatic views from the top of several volcanoes, explore untamed coastline, black as well as golden sand beaches, subtropical rainforest with the famous Kauri trees, plus unique indigenous flora and fauna. On our Auckland Maori Tours you will see why Auckland is known as one of the world’s most beautiful cities and regions! Not only this but it is also the largest Polynesian city with a great variety of cultures from across the Pacific all merged into one here in Tamaki Makaurau (Auckland).

Our Auckland Maori Tours show you the very best Auckland has to offer and it combines the sights of the Auckland Half Day Tour and a West Coast Tour into one amazing full day experience, plus as an added bonus you have the opportunity to learn a lot from your indigenous Maori guide about our local Maori culture.

Discover why Auckland is repeatedly named one of the best places in the world to live!

During our Auckland Maori Tour you will see…
